New Home, New Garden!

It's been forever since I updated this blog, but I thought now would be a good time. A couple months ago I moved to a quaint, quiet house in Santa Clara, and it has been a refreshing change. Lucky for me, the two girls I live with love gardening and vegetables, so we've got a fantastic garden where we've been growing all kinds of things.. two kinds of cucumber, zucchini, cauliflower, green beans, kale, spinach, chard, cilantro, arugula, mint, tomatoes, and we've even got a tangerine tree and an apple tree.

This is from maybe a month ago.

Just look at that beautiful kale.

These little tomatoes are so great, we have orange ones and red ones.

And we've been getting more zucchini than we know what to do with!

There's nothing like eating fresh vegetables right from your backyard. Happy summer!

  1. Hello!, Jen :)

How are you? Knew you possessed a special knack for taking great pictures amid all your delightful travel destinations over the years, but this post sheds some light on at least one more amazing talent/gift, induction into the Green Thumb society. Try as I might to join that all exclusive club, plants have enough sense to sound the alarm when I even think about "nurturing" them.

Mmm, mmm good comes to mind when I think of what delectable epic treats can be created from the good seeds you planted. Please excuse me as I take leave before drooling any further over thoughts of raiding your garden for some cool, refreshing cucumbers...please keep being good to Mother Earth, Jen, and have a safe and wonderful Summer :)

  2. Hi Al, I hope you've been having a great summer. Mine is pretty good, just keeping busy with work and hanging out with friends now and then. I am really lucky my housemates have such green thumbs, the garden is definitely a team effort. I will have to investigate ways to use cucumber in recipes.

    1. Hola!, Jen

Just thinking of you today on your special day. Many happy & healthy returns :)

Ahhh @ refereshing cucumbers...will have to venture back later this Fall to determine if you've come up with a few delectable cucumber recipes. Meanwhile, safe & happy birthday wishes.
